About me

Hi everyone, I’m Russell and I just love taking photographs. If you bump into me, I will most likely have a camera in hand. I live in the beautiful Cirencester, right in the heart of the Cotswolds with my wonderful wife, Vicky, and energetic cockapoo, Alfie. I love heading out for walks in the countryside with Vicky and Alfie… and guess what, I love taking photos of them too. We have a running joke in our family that Alfie must be the most photographed dog in the world, but you can’t blame me… look how cute he is! I love animals, so if you feel like bringing your pet to your wedding, rest assured I will get some great images of them.

Alongside my wedding and portrait photographs, I also dabble with a bit of wildlife and astro-photography. I’ve added some of my favourite recent images to the end of this page. I’m really proud that my images have been selected as category winners for a range of competitions, such as the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and Cotswold Water Park photography competitions. I’ve also been published in numerous newspapers and magazines, ranging from local newspapers to the national press (for example, BBC World News, Daily Mail, Daily Express and the Telegraph). On 17th June 2021, I was thrilled when my image of the Crescent Nebula was selected for a NASA APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day) and published in the official NASA archives.

I’m naturally a relaxed and easy-going individual and, while I work hard, I’m very flexible and happy to accommodate any specific requests you might have on your wedding day.
