A beautiful Stratford upon-Avon wedding
The picturesque town of Stratford-upon-Avon with its cobbled streets, charming Tudor buildings and beautiful riverside walks was the location for the wonderful Karolina and David’s wedding this summer. As with all my clients, I had met the couple prior to their wedding during their complimentary engagement shoot. During our meeting, we planned a scenic route around the River Avon for the couple photos and, with these beautiful locations in mind, I was eagerly anticipating this wedding. What could possibly go wrong?! You guessed it: the British weather. While we couldn’t complete the full route we had planned, I’m so glad Karolina and David decided to brave the rain. We had a great time finding sheltered spots for photos and making great use of a rather large umbrella. The photos turned out really well and are some of my favourite images. I’m so glad that Karolina and David were thrilled with the final album.
The day started early at the historic White Swan hotel, which dates back to the 1450s. With its wonky oak beams and beautiful décor, this hotel is full of character and made a fantastic setting for bridal preparation images. Karolina was joined by her mum, sister and niece for a relaxed morning of hair and make-up. Karolina’s beautiful hair was styled by Jodie from Jodie Wakefield. You can see more of Jodie’s work here: Jodie's Instagram. Karolina’s beautiful make-up was created by make-up artist Poppy. You can see more of Poppy’s beautiful brides on Poppy's Instagram.

The beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon Registration Office was the setting for Karolina and David’s lovely wedding ceremony, next door to Shakespeare’s birthplace and childhood home. The service itself took place in the intimate Henley Room and I really enjoyed capturing their ceremony in another characterful building.

Following the ceremony and family photos, Karolina and David decided that the rain wouldn’t stop them from getting some beautiful couple photos and I’m delighted they made this decision. One of the perks of choosing Stratford-upon-Avon Registration Office as your wedding venue is the wonderful location, as it gives you ample opportunity for beautiful locations. The registry office itself is located in the heart of the town, just a few minutes’ walk to the banks of the River Avon, and it was here where we captured some photos which I hope the couple will cherish.

The rain definitely did not put a dampener on Karolina and David’s special day and I am delighted with the photos we captured. If you or anyone you know is getting married in Stratford-upon-Avon, please do get in touch. I’d love to get a few more bookings in this beautiful town.
